Our Trail Guide map series gets a face lift!

As we've grown over the last several years, our primary focus has been on creating great new maps of the areas we love. As the number of maps have increased, as well as geographic area covered, we decided to do a face lift on our popular map series. So, what exactly is involved with this face lift of our maps?

First, don't worry, the main map content and cartography has not changed much! These are the same great maps you've come to know and trust. We are still doing minor yearly updates as needed and slight tweaks on the cartography to make these the best maps for your every adventure.

We are rolling out new covers on each map as we run out of inventory and print more. This will be taking place over the next year or so. The image in this post shows the original Pisgah Ranger District cover and the new cover. This is the first map to have a new cover.

In addition to new covers, we are now calling the maps our Trail Guide map series. This is a diversion from the original names that included the region such as Western North Carolina Trail Guide and Upstate SC Trail Guide. This makes more sense as our maps have grown and extended across state lines.

Finally, you may notice some slight color differences on the borders surrounding the map. None of these are huge changes but we think they will make a big difference in how people find and use our maps. Thanks for using our trail guides made locally right here in Asheville, NC.

Check out all the maps in our Trail Guide map series and if you are close to one of the great vendors who carry our maps, stop in and support them by purchasing a map.
