Combining a passion for outdoor recreation and cartography, Pisgah Map Company began in 2009 with the Pisgah Ranger District map, and we’ve been busy ever since creating maps and guides for several regional public lands and rivers. We’ve been exploring this area for over 30 years as avid mountain bikers, hikers, kayakers and runners, which is why our maps are more than just data on paper. They’re the culmination of decades of local knowledge and firsthand experience in the woods, rivers, rocks and trails of the Southern Appalachians.

Making good maps takes geospatial training and experience, an eye for detail, and a sixth-sense of intuitive design. That’s where our cartographic captain, Pete Kennedy comes in. Along with being our lead outdoor fanatic and founder, he scores high marks in all of the above, with plenty of degrees and certifications to back him up. And together, we’re going to keep making our maps for anyone looking for adventure in our neck of the woods.
